From specification to installation Blue Moon offer efficient, communicative and transparent procurement services that are both competitive and ethically responsible in new build or refurbishment programmes for international brands or entrepreneurial hoteliers.
Because we understand the importance of clarity, fluidity and accuracy we can operate on a fixed-fee basis. Agreeing our fees at the outset of the project, based on the level of involvement required, enables our clients to budget accurately for the other parts of their big picture.
The procurement team at Blue Moon are honors degree qualified in fields of architecture, interior or product design which is a real asset to any project; the ability to push cost-effective design while protecting aesthetic aspirations is the businesses strength.

working practices
Upon receipt of the interior designers FF&E Control Book, Blue Moon setup the foundation for procurement in the form of the FF&E budget report – a matrix populated with supplier, product, cost, payment terms & logistics information.
We manage the procurement function by setting up dedicated project bank accounts to hold client funds. These funds are held in trust, with all purchase orders signed by our client on provision, by us, of full documentation to support the decision. Monthly reporting, including bank reconciliations, ensures full transparency at all times. This proven process keeps things moving in the right direction, and at the correct pace, throughout the project.
Alternatively, we can operate a system whereby our clinet pays all supplier invocies directly while we co-ordinate all other areas of of the order. Our ability to be flexible is another of our unique strengths.
Managing the expediting process including client requested delivery dates, estimated and actual shipping Blue Moon co-ordinate with the client , project manager and main contractor to schedule FF&E and OS&E delivery and installation.

To support sustainable asset value groth and drive underlying investment returns, we work with ISO and B-Corp manufacture companies to meet project BREEAM/LEED/WELL accreditations.
Manufactures recommended by Blue Moon adhere too certain criteria with regards to quality assurance, financial stability, warranty & reputation. As a company we are passionate about sustainable procurement and so materiality, product life cycle, volatile chemicals, EPDs & global footprint are areas vetted when considering the environmental impact of the FF&E of the project.
Blue Moon makes monthly donations to chosen charities of importance on behalf of our employee's.

At Blue Moon we offer extensive knowledge based training including weekly in-house supplier training sessions and quarterly factory tours to ensure we understand the manufacture methods of the products being procured. Furthermore, Blue Moon attend noteworthy industry buyer-supplier events, conferences and trade shows keeping our supplier database current.
Proactively Planned OS&E
As a hotel project develops, the needs of each department will naturally present themselves. But we believe in assessing, identifying and specifying requirements from the outset.
We do this by working closely with the appointed GM and heads of department to approach the project from a holistic point of view. Giving clients early indicators of requirements, along with a detailed projection on associated costs and lead-times, enables the project to maintain its flow and complete on schedule.
